Privacy Policy

When you sign up:

• Your email address (collected by Clerk on our behalf for authentication)
• Your name and avatar if you provide them during signup

When you upload a resume to your profile:

• The PDF file itself, stored in our Supabase storage bucket
• Parsed information extracted by AI (Anthropic Claude) — skills, experience years, target roles — stored in our database for use by the job-matching feature

When you save or apply to jobs:

• Which job listings you saved (a join between your user ID and job IDs)
• Any notes you add to applications

When you purchase a premium product:

• Stripe processes the payment. We see the amount, currency, status, and Stripe's session/payment-intent IDs. We never see or store your credit card details — those stay with Stripe.
• For Resume Review specifically: the job posting URL, target role, and any notes you submit alongside the order

• Authentication: Clerk uses your email + a session token to keep you signed in.
• Job matching: your resume's parsed skills are compared against job descriptions to compute a match score. This happens server-side, every time you load the dashboard. We never send your resume to third-party AI for matching — only the initial parse on upload is done via Anthropic, who do not retain it.
• Premium delivery: when you purchase Resume Review, your uploaded resume + order details are used by Atikant personally to produce a tailored version. The tailored PDF and DOC are then uploaded to your order page for download.
• Transactional emails: Stripe sends you receipts. We may email you order updates from hello@firstdatajob.com.

We do not:

• Sell your data to anyone
• Share your resume with any third-party AI service that retains data
• Use your data for marketing or mailing lists
• Use your data for anything other than the purposes above

• Your account and uploaded resume are kept while your account exists.
• Resume Review tailored files are kept for 7 days after delivery, then deleted from our storage.
• The original resume you uploaded for matching is kept while your account is active. If you delete it on the Profile page, it's removed from storage immediately.
• Stripe retains your payment records for at least 7 years per their own policy.

You can:

• Delete your resume — go to Profile and remove it. This permanently deletes the file from our storage.
• Delete your account — email hello@firstdatajob.comand we'll remove all data tied to you within 7 days. (Account deletion in the UI is on our roadmap.)
• Request your data— email us and we'll send you an export of everything we hold on you, within 30 days, free of charge.
• Refunds — see our refund policy below.

Our infrastructure providers:

• Vercel (United States) — hosts the app
• Supabase (region: Sydney, Australia) — database + file storage
• Clerk (United States) — authentication
• Stripe (Australia for AUD merchant account) — payments
• Anthropic (United States) — one-time PDF parse on resume upload; they do not retain the file

By using FirstDataJob you accept that some of your data is processed outside Australia. All transfers are over HTTPS and data is encrypted at rest by these providers.

For digital products:

• Full refund if you request it before we begin work (within 4 hours of purchase for Resume Review).
• Partial refundif work has started but the deliverable isn't delivered yet, prorated to time spent.
• No refund once the deliverable has been uploaded to your order page (digital goods are non-refundable once delivered), except where required by Australian Consumer Law for major failures of the service.
